This is awesome! I've just started to mess around with Photoshop myself..going to have to try and figure out how to do what you've done with these flowers! Very cool!
I just got this great idea for that diversity contest I was bitching about on my blog.
I have a pirated copy of Photoshop deluxe, which I will need to load onto my new computer first. But then I want to take my daisy/dew drop picture and manipulate it so that the picture will first be b/w, then I will color each petal a different color. After that I will enlarge for ease, and color each one of the little yellow balls in the center one of the colors from the petals.
What I need to know is, that biting off more than I can chew? Or, is it something I can do, but it will just be really time consuming? Or, should it be a breaze?
If you think it is something that I can accomplish, and have some pointers to make it easier/less time consuming, please email me.
With all of the help you have been giving me lately, I am going to have to send you an original sketch. Just let me know what subject matter you like, and I will get to work. First, however, I have to finish the one I started for Greekchickie, this weekend, or she will beat me up. LOL
Thanks again for the advice.
BTW, I went to the Mirror Project site. I think I figured it out. If I am correct, you have once again taken an awesome photo. Secondly, if I am correct, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed or shy about. I should know, I am a connoisseur. lol
Thanks for searching for me, I'm flattered...but I haven't been confirmed yet that they are going to put it up. I would like to know which one you thought was me!!
The photoshop project isn't hard, just TIME consuming. It will take awhile to color every petal..you have to be careful with edges, etc. And it's not like you're using a paintbrush or a pencil, you're using your mouse. But, if you have the time and patience..you can do it. I hear that if you resize the pic to really large first and color it, it's easier...and then just resize back to normal. I haven't tried that yet, but I've done pretty easy stuff so far. I think I have some on my Wildvizionz site under "Floral" or "misc". Can't remember. Anything else...ask away!!
....with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print - my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey - from the subject before me?
There's been a lot of excitement with the photoblogs today, hasn't there?! SHEESH!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did here. These are my fave colors.. the deep maroons & purples. I love it.
M~
Thanks...and Jen, I'm not THAT brave...if so, they would be on my blog!!
ReplyDeleteWOW TOOO COOL!
